Those arrested included 135 people convicted of crimes.He said the police also recovered 47 weapons, 4.8 kg of heroin, 3.6 kg of opium, 42,797 narcotic pills, 68 kg of poppy husks and Rs 30 lakh in cash during the operation.Police teams also made preventive arrests of 1,450 people and verified the identities of 2,788 people and released them after interrogation, Shukla said.Yadav said that the 72-hour-long operation achieved goals beyond expectations and the “Gangstran Te Vaar” (anti-gangster) operation will continue until Punjab is free from the menace.People can anonymously report information related to wanted criminals and gangs through the anti-gang hotline 93946-93946, and can also share tips about crime and criminal activity.Continuing with the 347th day of the anti-drug operation “Yudh Nashian Virudh”, the police arrested 164 drug smugglers on Wednesday and seized 11.9 kg of heroin and 344 narcotic tablets/capsules from their possession.The police said that so far, the total number of drug smugglers arrested has reached 49,129. The anti-drug campaign launches in March 2025.

The post originated from the X account @TommyGoBrazy on Wednesday. As of this writing, the message has been viewed more than 297,000 times, making the statement go viral.

YNW Melly is being held at the Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale, Floridawho is awaiting retrial on double murder charges. In February 2019, he was arrested on double murder charges.

New Delhi: The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) on Thursday clarified that the investigation into the crash of Air India flight AI-171 in Ahmedabad in June 2025 is still ongoing, dismissing reports that the investigation has been concluded and blaming the pilot for the accident.The AAIB said “the investigation is ongoing and has not yet reached a final conclusion” and urged the media to exercise restraint and avoid premature speculation, which could cause public anxiety and undermine the integrity of the investigation.AAIB noted that it conducted the investigation strictly in accordance with the Aircraft (Accident and Incident Investigation) Rules, 2025 and India’s obligations under ICAO Annex 13. The preliminary report was released in July 2025 and provided only factual information available at the time. A final investigation report containing conclusions and safety recommendations will be released upon completion.Previously, Italy’s Corriere della Sera reported, citing unnamed sources, that investigators had determined that the crash was caused by “intentional behavior” rather than a technical defect, and identified captain Sumeet Sabharwal as the main suspect.
