New Delhi: On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 tourists on April 22, the Indian Army has issued a stern warning to the perpetrators of terrorism, asserting that when “human boundaries are crossed, the response is decisive”.The Army warned on social media that any inappropriate behavior against the country would be met with repercussions. “We will respond to actions against India. Justice will be served. Always,” the Army said in a post onOperation Mahadev was launched last year to neutralize the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack. It was a joint operation by the Army and other security forces that tracked down and neutralized three terrorists involved in the terror attack. Federal Home Minister Amit Shah later confirmed that three terrorists (Sulaiman, Hamza Afghani and Zibulan) were killed during an encounter in the dense forest area of Lidwas near Hawan on the outskirts of Srinagar during Operation Mahadev.Since the anti-Pakistan operation in May last year, senior military leaders have repeatedly stated that the Sindoor operation is “still continuing” and that the country’s year-round, all-weather military preparedness is at a “very high” level.Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Tripathi recently emphasized that the deployment of an aircraft carrier battle group in the northern Arabian Sea affects the operations of the Pakistan Navy, keeping it close to ports. “It is no longer a hidden fact that they asked for a halt to kinetic operations when we were minutes away from attacking Pakistan from the sea,” Admiral Tripathi said of the Navy’s role in Operation Sindoor.Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi also praised Operation Sindoor as the best example of “tri-service coordination under clear political directives”. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh also said that Operation Sindoor was a decisive moment that showcased the precision, strength and unity of purpose of the Indian Air Force in dealing with Pakistan’s “Napark” (cowardly) behavior.
