Nancy Guthrie Update: Cajun Navy VP opens up about PCSD refusing to accept help, ‘They just decided…’
American Cajun Navy Vice President Brian Trascher appeared on NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich Tonight and discussed the organization’s efforts to assist in the search for the missing Nancy Guthrie. He made public about Pima County Sheriff’s Department Refuse to accept their help.
Tracher said the nonprofit submitted a plan outlining how to support investigationincluding the deployment of well-trained dog teams and drone teams. “We do know that the Sheriff’s Office has flat out refused to accept any outside help,” Tracher said.
‘They just decided not to accept outside help’
Trascher said the organization plans to serve as a “force multiplier” by providing additional trained personnel to search difficult terrain, particularly near the Arizona border.
“We feel really strongly that there’s a good chance she’ll end up somewhere on the border,” he said. “Again, just to be a force multiplier, extra eyes, ears, hands and feet at this point, just to try to bring some closure to the Guthrie family.”
Tracher went on to acknowledge that the organization’s assistance may have been more effective earlier in the investigation. “I think the situation would be more favorable if we approached the kidnapping date sooner,” he said.
Tracher said all current search efforts are likely to focus on finding Nancy’s body after her death.
“But for some reason they decided not to accept outside help,” he added.
Nancy has been missing for more than four months, and no suspects have been found who kidnapped her.
