“I think, I think, maybe one thing we have in common is sorting in some way what we’ve done in the past or what we’ve said,” Fuentes said. Biden The reply was: “Yeah, I’m a madman.”

Here are the highlights from the interview:

Fuentes on being ‘canceled’ and cancel culture

Fuentes said he is often misunderstood, saying: “Everyone thinks I’m a white supremacist Nazi. But I don’t think that’s true at all… I don’t think I’m a hater. I’m not a hateful person.” He believes that the strict “cancel culture” of 2017 to 2018 pushed many young people to more extreme views, saying: “I think the left created this atmosphere to some extent, and I think they pushed a lot of people further to the right.”

Biden countered, “That’s probably true, but you’re giving them a lot of ammunition.”

Fuentes also said that when Trump was banned from the platform in 2021, “it felt like 70 million people were canceled” and argued that it prompted more people to adopt radical views. Biden disagreed that deplatforming was purely a left-right issue, pointing to his own experience: “My bank account was seized. Before I had any charges, my bank account was seized. I lost all my bank accounts.”

On Trump, the “Biden Crime Family,” and Vance

Both men sharply criticized President Trump. “He’s done nothing but accuse,” Biden said Joe Biden to every question he had. For the first 100 days, he mentioned my father’s name or the names of my family six times a day. He does this maybe four times a day now because he doesn’t have the answers. All he could do was point with one finger. “

Biden also pushed back against claims about his family’s finances, saying: “People believe there is something called ‘Biden Crime Family.” When my dad was president, I didn’t do any business. I basically made $200,000 a year selling paintings. … Don and Eric made over $1.3B just in their contracts with the underlying companies that the Department of Defense had ownership over.”

Fuentes said he turned against Trump after feeling like his promises were not being fulfilled: “He did end up taking super PAC money. He took American PAC money for that…during the first term, no wall was built.” Fuentes said he was not voting in 2024 and told his followers not to vote for Trump either, adding, “It wasn’t until a year later… that people said, you know what? You were right about Trump.”

Fuentes didn’t mince words when it came to J.D. Vance: “Probably America’s Hitler. I was wrong about Donald Trump… He was a great president. Now he’s a national conservative, a national populist, so we don’t even know who he is… It’s basically a Manchurian candidate.”

What did they say about their personal lives?

Conversations also became personal. Biden has spoken publicly about his past drug addiction, saying: “I spent more time on my hands and knees snorting anything that even remotely resembled crack cocaine. That’s true.”

Fuentes revealed that he never drank or did drugs, citing his family’s addiction: “My grandfather was an alcoholic and committed suicide. My uncle died of a crack cocaine overdose. My mom and two of her uncles were heroin addicts their entire lives… I know I have that addictive personality.”

“I like to keep my head above water,” he added.

Biden said he was focused on raising awareness about drug addiction: “I hope to reach a million people with addiction.” Fuentes said running would compromise his authenticity: “I don’t think you can be completely authentic when you run for office.”

A conversation about “white culture”

The conversation turned heated when the topic turned to white neighborhoods Callahan had visited. Biden directly challenged Fuentes on the concept of “white culture,” asking: “I hear you talking about the concept of white culture. What the fuck are you talking about, man?”

Fuentes responded: “Shakespeare, Dante, Mozart. We’re in Philadelphia, the Founding Fathers. That’s your white culture.”

On artificial intelligence and the future of electricity

Fuentes said it was AI, not politics, that would most shape the country’s future: “I think AI is going to be really transformative. The funny thing is, no one seems to be talking about that.” He warned of the concentration of power, saying: “Whichever company develops ASI could give that company’s CEO dictatorial-like powers… That person will become the most powerful person in the history of humanity on Earth.”

Fuentes added, “I think it’s like a nuclear bomb, but it’s also a commodity,” and criticized the current handling: “Trump’s handling of the Pentagon, Anthropic, and OpenAI is so reckless and sloppy, it’s honestly unbelievable.”
