South Korean memory chip giants Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will supply U.S. technology companies including Nvidia in a deal worth $950 billion, a presidential adviser said on Saturday. The news was announced during President Lee Jae-myung’s visit to San Francisco for talks with heads of major U.S. technology companies, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, Anthropic’s Dario Amodei and Broadcom’s Hock Tan.Kim Yong-beom, the president’s chief of staff for policy, said the two South Korean chip giants and U.S. technology companies agreed to “pursue cooperation” in the field.
