German small plane crashes into house, killing two
A small private plane crashed into the roof of a house in northwest Germany on Saturday, killing two men, police said.The light plane crashed in a residential area at Ganderkesee near the city of Oldenburg before crashing head-on into the sloping roof of a house, AFP reported.Police initially confirmed one person was dead and said a second passenger was missing. However, both occupants were confirmed dead after authorities conducted a lengthy and complex cleanup operation to remove debris embedded in the house.The victims were 65 and 77 years old and were from Bremen.The residents of the house were evacuated while emergency crews worked to recover the plane. They were allowed to return after the wreckage was cleared.German authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
