Internet celebrity “Chad the Builder” is once again at the center of controversy after investigators linked him to a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee. Authorities said a confrontation near the courthouse turned violent and left two people injured. While the investigation is ongoing, the case has thrust the online creator back into national headlines and sparked new debate over online fame built on shocking content. The man behind the viral nickname is Dalton Eatherly, a 28-year-old live streamer known for posting chaotic and confrontational videos online. Over the past few years, Iserley has gained attention through public stunts, offensive jokes, heated on-air arguments and what many viewers call “rage bait.” His videos often elicit strong reactions, helping them go viral on social media platforms. Some consider his content to be satire, while others believe he often crosses the line. Regardless, his online presence is closely tied to controversy. His live streams often featured tense interactions with strangers, disruptive behavior and comments that sparked backlash online. As his name spread across the internet community, so did criticism of rewarded content on social media.

Dalton Eatherly’s widely known ‘Chad the Builder’ persona and past legal controversies

Long before court investigations made headlines, Dalton Iserley was dealing with legal issues in Tennessee. Earlier reports from Nashville authorities said Iserley was accused of refusing to pay a restaurant bill that was reportedly close to $400. Police said the situation turned chaotic and resulted in charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and theft of services. That earlier case had already exposed him to public scrutiny, but the latest investigation into the courthouse shooting has put his online behavior and public image under even more scrutiny. Officials have not concluded their investigation, and many details about the Clarksville shooting are still being reviewed by authorities.Meanwhile, online discussion quickly moved beyond the incident itself. Critics question whether internet creators who grow their audiences through anger and provocation are in part promoting dangerous behavior in the real world. Others say that whenever something dramatic happens, controversial creators tend to get more views, more attention, and more viewers. The name “Chud the Builder” has now become part of a larger conversation around influencer culture, live streaming fame, and how internet celebrities are blurring the lines between online performance and real-world results. While supporters continue to defend Etheli, saying his content is for entertainment or perhaps just to troll viewers, critics argue that recurring controversies show worrying patterns over and over again. While investigators have been probing the Clarksville courthouse shooting, public attention has grown on Dalton Etherly and his online persona.

Trump agrees “100%” with Xi Jinping that America is in decline, but under Biden

US President Donald Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping’s assessment that the United States is a country in decline was “100 percent correct,” but the comments were referring to the years of his predecessor Joe Biden.

Trump agrees “100%” with Xi Jinping that America is in decline, but under Biden

“When President Xi very elegantly said that America may be a nation in decline, he was referring to the tremendous damage we have suffered under Sleepy Joe Biden and four years of the Biden administration, and on that note, he is 100% correct,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He said the United States “suffers immeasurably from open borders, high taxes, trans people for everyone, men in women’s sports, diversity, equity, inclusion, terrible trade deals, rampant crime, and more!”

Trump claimed that the U.S. economy had seen “incredible growth” during his first 16 months in office, pointing to a record stock market and Section 401, military victories, a return to economic strength and what he called a booming job market.

Trump also touted military victories and burgeoning relations with Venezuela, as well as the “military destruction” of Iran.

“President Xi is not referring to the incredible rise that the United States has shown the world during the 16 months of the Trump administration,” he said.

“Two years ago, we were actually a declining country. I totally agree with President Xi on that!” Trump added, “But now, the United States is the hottest country in the world, and hopefully our relationship with China will be stronger and better than ever!”

Trump also cited the trillions of dollars of foreign investment flowing into the United States, praised the administration’s rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion programs, and claimed President Xi congratulated him on what he called the administration’s “tremendous success” in a short period of time.

"Why the military prioritized Erica": Candace Owens claims Erika Kirk's emotional WHCD footage was strategically amplified

New controversy has erupted around Erica Kirk after Candace Owens accused the White House Military Office of helping circulate an emotional video following the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting. The accusation has sparked heated debate online, with critics questioning whether politics, media tactics and public sympathy are becoming dangerously intertwined. At the center of the storm was a short video showing a visibly shaken Erica Kirk leaving a ballroom after the shooting while saying, “I just want to go home.” The video went viral on social media and quickly became one of the defining emotional moments related to the tragedy.

Candace Owens claims White House pushed Erica Kirk video

Owens claimed on X and her podcast that the White House Military Office circulated an internal email shortly after the shooting encouraging officials to amplify the video online. According to her, the message described the video as “the strongest emotional response asset associated with the incident.”Owens further claimed that the email referenced the clip’s growing viral reach and its ability to shape the broader public narrative surrounding the shooting. She claimed the communication was mistakenly shared with the wrong internal group before trying to delete it.The conservative commentator openly questioned why Erica Kirk became such a prominent public figure in coverage of the incident.“So the question now is – why was the military so quick to prioritize Erica Kirk as the spokesperson for the WHCD shooting?” Owens asked. “Is this normal emergency procedure or is this unnatural pre-planning?”As of now, no official evidence has been made public confirming the email, and authorities have not confirmed Owens’ claims.

Erica Kirk and Candace Owens’ feud continues to escalate

The latest accusations add a new chapter to an increasingly public disagreement between Owens and Erika Kirk following their assassinations. Charlie Kirk. Owens has repeatedly questioned TPUSA leadership’s handling of the incident, its media messaging and the public image of Kirk’s widow in recent months.Owens also hinted at what she described as an “unnatural alliance” between the White House and TPUSA.“This has been a focus of the White House,” Owens explained. “There’s an unnatural alliance between Turning Point USA and the White House. This is too much. It feels a little fragile here.”Tensions between the two women appeared to cool briefly last December when Erika Kirk announced they would hold a private meeting to stop their public feud online. At the time, Kirk wrote that she hoped to have a “productive conversation.”This truce apparently did not last long. Now, as conspiracy theories, leaked email accusations and political suspicion dominate online discussions, the controversy surrounding Erica Kirk continues to expand well beyond the initial tragedy itself.

Why an insect factory backed by Bill Gates releases 30 million mosquitoes every week

Why an insect factory backed by Bill Gates releases 30 million mosquitoes every week

Deep in Medellin, Colombia, scientists breed millions of mosquitoes every week and then deliberately release them into the environment. At first glance, this may sound strange, especially since mosquitoes are known for spreading dangerous diseases. But researchers say the insects are actually being used to help stop the spread of diseases such as dengue, Zika, chikungunya and yellow fever. The project, which is supported in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and supported by the World Mosquito Program, generates approximately 30 million mosquitoes each week. These mosquitoes carry a harmless bacterium called Wolbachia, which makes it more difficult for the virus to spread from mosquitoes to humans.

Inside the world’s largest mosquito factory backed by Bill Gates

The facility in Medellin is one of the world’s largest mosquito breeding centers, producing millions of mosquitoes every week as part of an unusual public health mission. Scientists there primarily raise Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, which are known for transmitting diseases such as dengue, Zika and chikungunya. In temperature-controlled laboratories, researchers carefully monitor each stage of the insects’ life cycle, from eggs and larvae to adult mosquitoes, before preparing them for release into nearby communities. What makes these mosquitoes unique is a naturally occurring bacterium called Wolbachia. Scientists have found that when Aedes aegypti mosquitoes carry Wolbachia, they are significantly less likely to transmit dangerous viruses to humans. Mosquitoes are not genetically modified. Instead, the researchers introduced the bacteria into mosquito eggs under laboratory conditions and then bred offspring with the same characteristics.Once released into the wild, these mosquitoes begin to mate with local mosquito populations, helping Wolbachia spread naturally over time. As more mosquitoes carry the bacteria in an area, there will be fewer mosquitoes capable of transmitting viruses like dengue fever. Researchers say the goal is not to eliminate mosquitoes entirely, but to gradually replace more dangerous mosquito populations with less harmful mosquitoes. That’s why scientists believe the program differs from traditional pesticide spraying, which focuses on killing insects outright.Use a variety of methods to release mosquitoes. In some communities, residents receive small containers filled with naturally hatched mosquito eggs. In other areas, adult mosquitoes are released from vehicles or specialized containers. The local community is also actively involved in the program, with residents helping scientists monitor mosquito populations and place mosquito traps around their neighborhoods. The project attracted worldwide attention after Bill Gates visited the facility, who subsequently described it as one of the most promising new ways to combat mosquito-borne diseases. Today, the Medellin Mosquito Factory has become a symbol of how scientists are trying to use biology rather than relying solely on chemicals and pesticides to combat global disease outbreaks.Researchers say the goal is not to permanently increase mosquito populations, but to gradually replace disease-carrying mosquitoes with less harmful ones.

Inside the world's largest mosquito factory backed by Bill Gates

The project has shown promising results

Studies in different countries show encouraging results. In Indonesia, areas releasing Wolbachia mosquitoes saw significant reductions in dengue infections and hospital visits.Researchers in Colombia also reported a sharp decline in dengue cases since the project began in Medellin in 2015.Scientists believe this approach could become an important tool in countries dealing with mosquito-borne diseases that affect millions of people every year.

Conspiracy theories surrounding Project Mosquito

The mosquito release program has also been the subject of conspiracy theories online, with social media posts claiming the insects are “mutant mosquitoes”, part of a secret experiment, or linked to population control efforts. Some posts even suggested that the mosquitoes were genetically modified to intentionally spread disease, after videos and images of the Colombian facility began circulating online.Scientists and health organizations involved in the program reject these claims. The researchers said the mosquitoes were not genetically modified and carried Wolbachia, a naturally occurring bacterium found in many insect species. Experts say the project aims to reduce the spread of diseases such as dengue fever and Zika.

Hopes for global disease control

Mosquito-borne diseases infect hundreds of millions of people every year, especially in tropical countries. Traditional methods such as chemical spraying and fumigation are unlikely to completely stop an outbreak.Researchers believe Wolbachia-based mosquito control could provide a safer, longer-lasting solution. The goal of this approach is not to completely eliminate mosquito populations, but to reduce their danger to humans. That’s why the Medellin Mosquito Factory has become an important symbol of a new approach to public health, where scientists are using biology to fight some of the world’s fastest-spreading diseases.

Snake believes Dalton Etherly’s arrest could be a significant moment in the debate around free speech in the United States. On May 13, Chud the Builder was arrested following a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, and live streamers reacted strongly to the incident. Snake said on the live broadcast that the situation showed that “free speech is now being challenged” and believed that people were losing the rights promised by the constitution. He claims people are too quick to punish speech, even if it only involves words. Sneako also addressed how some people online have compared “Chad the Builder” to conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed last year.Sneko said:AdvertisementWhile Snake said he disagreed with many of Charlie Kirk’s views, he also said violence should never occur over political differences. He added:“Charlie Kirk was talking about gang violence. He was talking about problems within America. I didn’t agree with a lot of what he said. I used to laugh at him… but I didn’t think violence should happen to him.”

Montgomery County Courthouse shooting leads to Dalton Etherly charged with attempted murder

The shooting occurred Wednesday outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, according to CNN and a statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said two people were shot during the incident, including Dalton Eatherly, better known online as “Chud the Builder.” The identity of the second person involved has not been released. Both were taken to nearby hospitals. By Wednesday evening, officials confirmed both men were in stable condition. After the shooting, authorities charged Etherly with attempted murder, use of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault. Officials also confirmed he remains in custody pending arraignment. Before his arrest, Iserley spoke about the incident on livestream. He claimed he “had to defend himself” after an argument with another man. In the video, he describes how the man pointed at him and laughed before the relationship between them became tense.CNN also reported that Iserley had previously used racist language in his online videos, including calling black people “chimpanzees.” During a livestream after the shooting, another man allegedly warned Isely not to say “all the chimpanzee stuff” before the fight turned physical. The case has now sparked a wider debate online about free speech, online behavior and whether offensive speech should be compared to real-world violence. While Snake focused on constitutional rights in his response, online critics argued that repeated hateful language could also create dangerous situations.

Nancy Guthrie: Is Tommaso Cioni no longer teaching? Mystery about Anne’s husband’s whereabouts deepens; former FBI gets involved

0

looking for Nancy Guthrie The case is still ongoing, but more recently there has been interest in the whereabouts of daughter Annie Guthrie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni. Previously, self-proclaimed investigator Jonathan Lee Riches claimed that one of their neighbors had said that the two had Haven’t seen you for more than a weektheir vehicle was not found.

A self-proclaimed investigator claims that Annie Guthrie and Tommaso Cioni conducted a home investigation the day before Nancy Guthrie disappeared. (X/@JLRINVESTIGATES)

Now, former FBI agent Jennifer Coffendaver claims Tommaso Cione’s name was not listed as a teacher at Basis Oro Valley Schools. “It has been reported that Annie and Tommaso have not been found. I personally checked at BASIS Oro Valley School where Tommaso teaches 6th grade biology. I do not see his name listed as a teacher…” the former FBI agent wrote on X. HT.com cannot independently verify this information.

Anne and Tommaso have been at the center of public attention since the disappearance of 84-year-old Anne. Authorities believe Guthrie was taken the night before Feb. 1 from her home in Catalina Foothills, Tucson, Arizona. Guthrie reportedly had dinner with Anne that night and then Tommaso gave her a ride home. That would make the two men the last people to see Guthrie before she was taken away. Interest in Tommaso began when former NewsNation reporter Ashleigh Banfield reported that Tommaso was a possible suspect in the case. However, this claim was quickly rescinded by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, which handled the case.

Sheriff Chris Nanos later clarified that no members of the Guthrie family were suspects in the case. However, interest in Annie and Tomasso continued because they lived near the Guthrie home and law enforcement was slow to return their vehicle, which had been impounded to collect potential evidence. Amid the speculation surrounding the pair, Anne’s sister and “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie expressed her full support, saying they both loved Guthrie very much.

However, Pima County Sheriff’s Department officials, Sgt. Aaron Cross In a recent interview with NewsNation’s Brian Entin, he expressed doubts about the Guthrie family’s version of events. While reporters noted that the Guthrie family had been asking that the case be treated as a walk-on, Cross said they had “insisted” from the beginning that Guthrie was simply lost. Among them, it was noted that Savannah told NBC colleague Hoda Kotb that Annie and Tommaso had said there was no way Guthrie was lost. This brought the couple’s announcement into focus of existing interest in the pair.

Right now, there’s no update on where Anne Guthrie and Tommaso Cione may be, but former FBI agent Coffin Duffer has weighed in on the situation, sharing expert insight.

What a former FBI agent says about Annie and Tommaso

Coffendaver speculated that Tommaso may have taken a leave of absence or that the school was “concerned” about listing his name due to the speculation surrounding him.

“I don’t see his name listed as a teacher, but maybe he’s on leave or the school is worried about listing his name because millions of people still believe he kidnapped his mother-in-law of 20 years,” she wrote.

“Regardless, this action shows that Tommaso has been compromised. If anyone else discovers that he was listed for this school year, please LMK,” the former FBI agent added.

Speaking about possible reasons for keeping a low profile, Coffendaver said: “I think there’s an obvious concern about ridicule, but it could also be this: Defamation lawsuits: In most states, including Arizona, people have to prove that a lie was fabricated, such as being accused of a crime, and that the person suffered damages.”

She laid out the losses Anne and Tommaso could face as a result of constant public speculation. “Have their jobs been affected by the reputation, public ridicule and accusations that, not that they killed a stranger, but worse, that they kidnapped/killed their mother? His name not being on the faculty list could be a sign,” she wrote.

Coffendaver added that Anne was listed as a poetry teacher at the University of Arizona, noting that their son must also be going through a rough time because of the noise around his parents. “The bottom line is that if a lawsuit is brought against those who say they are responsible for what happened to Nancy, if they had nothing to do with the crime, then the harm they have suffered will be fully considered. In my view, their low profile, the lack of band appearances, the impact it may have had on their income from work and what their children may have gone through will all be part of a damages lawsuit,” Coffindaffer added.

The former FBI agent asked: “Is Anne and Tomasso’s low profile actually a beacon of the extent of their damage and their plans?”
