Trump, who infamously told a female reporter “quiet, little piggy,” has developed a pattern of criticizing the performance of female reporters who have the gall to ask questions he would rather avoid. He has now turned to aggressive gestures to convey his true emotions to the media.
CBS reporter Olivia Rinaldi asked the 79-year-old commander in chief about the current situation in Iran and recent events in the Strait of Hormuz on April 18.
X user Acyn shared a video documenting trump card Rinaldi and the assembled press were expelled. The reporter later retweeted the video and said: “Trying to ask the president about two ships in the Strait of Hormuz that were allegedly fired upon by Iranian gunboats. The president trump card:’quit. ‘” The development comes as Trump convenes an “emergency room” meeting amid the collapse of talks with Iran.
The termination sparked outrage in the comments section, which Rinaldi retweeted. One viewer wrote: “How dare a reporter ask real questions instead of playing fake games with him.”
