Instead of displaying familiar results, the browser responds like an AI chatbot, ready to start or end the user’s command.

It is expected that this “discovery” breaks the internetmany people flocked here to find out for themselves. This comes amid Google’s rollout of a new search experience that puts AI snippets in the foreground and pushes traditional link formatting further down the page.

When people try to search for “disregard,” the browser responds: “Got it. Let me know if you have any new tips or questions.”
The glitch resulted in Google receiving some criticism social media. Merriam-Webster, the country’s leading language information provider best known for its dictionaries, took a dig at the tech giant after the outage.
“Ignore | Verb | Not to pay attention to: Treat as not worthy of attention or attention,” it simply wrote on the X, while sharing a screenshot of what a Google search generated under “Artificial Intelligence Overview.”

Likewise, with the word “disappointment,” it says “I’m really sorry that things didn’t work out the way you hoped. It’s hard when expectations aren’t met, and it’s totally reasonable to feel disappointed. Take a deep breath and be kind to yourself.
