New Delhi: Tennis Legends Rafael Nadal Especially back on the tennis court, but not in the usual surroundings. The Spanish legend took to the makeshift pitch set up inside Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to create a unique crossover between tennis and football. Nadal teamed up with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to set up an interesting match against world number one Jannik Sinner and midfielder Jude Bellingham. Nadal said after sharing the moment: “It is very special to enjoy this unique stadium at the Bernabeu.”watch:

Football meets tennis at the Bernabeu

The exhibition match was part of a promotion surrounding the Madrid Open, with players allowed to train for a limited time at the iconic stadium. Several stars, including Iga Swiatek, were also in attendance. This event brings together two sporting worlds, bringing together top tennis players and Real Madrid football players in a rare and interesting setting.

Rising star Jordahl’s big moment

Outside of exhibition matches, young Spanish player Rafael Hodar attracted attention at the Madrid Open. After winning the first game in a hard-fought three-set match, he celebrated by imitating Bellingham’s famous goal celebration, even writing “Hey Jude” on the TV cameras. The move caught the attention of Bellingham, who later met with him and posed for photos.Hodahl was excited about the interaction, saying: “I talked to him after the game and asked him if he liked the game.” He added, “I didn’t know he was going to be here and it means a lot to me. He’s a great guy. I’m very grateful that he’s here. He’s my role model, he’s my favorite football player.”The 19-year-old’s victory was historic, making him the third Spaniard to win the Madrid Open before turning 20, after Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz. Talking about his performance, he said: “I’m really looking forward to playing here, but I know I have to play a solid game from start to finish.”
