UAE News: UAE: BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi to reopen on April 14 after temporary closure | World News

The UAE Ministry of Defense recently announced on April 9, 2026 that after 40 days of war, the country’s skies are no longer subject to aerial threats. Now, religious institutions that have been closed for some time due to regional tensions have reopened to the public. The BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi has announced that it will reopen to the public starting Tuesday, April 14. In a post shared on Instagram, the temple welcomed visitors back while asking them to register in advance via Mandir.ae/visit or the BAPS Mandir app. The temple will be open Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. “Please take all your faith, all your hopes and all your prayers for your family, for your friends, for our future, for the able, stable and commendable leadership of the UAE and for all the wise leaders of the world who believe in love, peace and harmony. Let us be one, one nation, one world, one humanity,” the caption of the image read. postal.Swami Brahmaviharidas, director of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi, said: “The temple is our home, a country where everyone feels at home, calm, content, safe and peaceful.” He also added that the temple looks forward to everyone’s arrival. The announcement comes as other places of worship reopen after briefly closing due to security concerns during the U.S.-Israeli war. Shri Krishna Temple, St. Mary’s Church and Guru Nanak Darbar in Dubai reopened their doors to devotees on Saturday, April 11, announcing opening hours and urging visitors to adhere to safety guidelines. The city’s Hindu temples also resumed services on Friday and announced a structured schedule of daily rituals. The temple has been declared open daily from 6 am to 6 pm with specific darshan and pooja timings. Earlier, as regional tensions persisted, places of worship across Dubai were asked to move events online until further notice as a precautionary measure. Churches have canceled masses, and temples and monasteries have announced closures. However, as no drones or missiles from Iran were detected, places of worship began to reopen. It also marks a return to normal life in Dubai, where authorities have been balancing public safety with community needs. Earlier, there were rumors that life in the country was disrupted and tourism was down, but officials dispelled all misinformation and invited tourists from all over the world to visit the UAE as they do every year.
