‘Too much time wasted’: Trump cancels US envoy’s visit to Pakistan, says Iran can ‘call’ for talks

He also criticized Iran’s leadership, saying “no one knows who is in charge.”After canceling his visit to Islamabad, Trump said the visit would take up too much time. He described it as “too much time wasted traveling.”Trump posted on Truth Social, “I just canceled my representative’s trip to Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet with the Iranians. Too much time, too much work wasted traveling! On top of that, there is tremendous infighting and confusion within their ‘leadership.'” No one knows who is responsible, including themselves. “He also claimed that the United States had the upper hand and once again pushed for negotiations with Iran, saying, “And, we have all the cards, they don’t! If they want to negotiate, they just have to call!!!”Top U.S. diplomats, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, canceled travel plans on orders from President Trump.Trump’s announcement came shortly after an Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi left Islamabad on Saturday night after meeting with Pakistani leaders.
