New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday selected Suvendu Adhikari as the next chief minister of West Bengal after the saffron party achieved a landslide victory in West Bengal, bagging 207 seats.Adhikre met West Bengal Governor RN Ravi and offered to form the first BJP-led government in the state.“Bhoi is out because Prime Minister Narendra Modi Adhikari said after being elected to the top post.“The people of Bengal have given us a historic mission. We will fulfill all the promises made by the BJP in its poll manifesto in Bengal,” he added.Suvendu Adhikari is widely seen as one of the key forces behind the BJP’s dramatic rise in West Bengal.
