Supporter of Carmelo Anthony accused of harassing US journalist, ‘posting photos of abuse of my daughter…’
An American journalist named Sarah Fields charged Carmelo Anthony Supporters harassed her on social media after she posted several updates about the case and spoke out against it Austin Metcalfe Killer. Anthony was previously sentenced to 35 years in prison for the 2025 murder of Metcalfe.
Fields shared a screenshot and claimed that Anthony’s supporters posted photos of “the man who abused his daughter” in the comments section of her post. She did not elaborate on what exactly happened to her daughter.
“Carmelo supporters have now hit a new low in trying to intimidate me online,” Fields write on X. “They posted pictures of my daughter’s abuser in the comments section. An evil man that I helped put in jail. A man who fled to Mexico to avoid arrest. A man that I’ve talked about publicly for years in podcasts and articles because that experience is part of what I do today. A man who was domestically abusive to me throughout our marriage and that we eventually escaped.”

She continued, “I advocated for my daughter when she needed someone to stand up for her. I fought for justice and ultimately helped make sure her abuser was behind bars. My adult daughter is on social media. She can see the comments. She can see the faces of the men people posted about traumatizing her. Think about how sick that is. These people claim to care about victims. They claim to care about justice. Yet they are willing to re-traumatize a woman and her child just because they don’t like my reporting.”
“That tells you everything you need to know,” Fields added. “No matter how they try to weaponize our past, they will never make me regret protecting my children. They will never make me regret helping put predators behind bars. They will never intimidate me into silence.”
In a follow up post, Fields wrote“They are now discussing contacting him in prison. A pedophile.”
Fields posted a screenshot, and a social media user claimed that Fields was the mother of the daughter of the person who circulated the screenshot. The post read: “I find her performance on #Karmelo hilarious. However, the father of her child is in the same prison. Looks like he has been depressed since 2021.”

Anthony is accused of fatally stabbing Metcalf during a rain delay at a high school track meet. Before the stabbing at Frisco Memorial High School, Metcalf reportedly asked Anthony, who is black, to leave the event because he did not attend that school. Metcalfe is white.
Anthony was transferred to Wallace Pack UnitJune 10, near Houston, Texas. He filed a notice of appeal after his conviction, according to court records.
