The motion was passed by voice vote in the 243-seat House of Representatives, in which the BJP-led NDA has an absolute majority of 202 seats.Chaudhry became the first BJP leader to lead the government in the state after JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar resigned earlier this month. Nitish Kumar gave up the top post after being elected to the Lok Sabha.Only two JD(U) leaders, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, were inducted into the new cabinet and designated as deputy chief ministers.Apart from JD(U), the BJP-led alliance also includes Rashtriya Janata Dal (RV) led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, HAM led by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and RLM led by Lok Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha. The five-party alliance won 202 seats in last November’s election.
