A wave of viral social media posts claims that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein Bitcoin was invented. The speculation was sparked by doctored emails circulating online that purportedly showed Epstein claiming to be the author of Bitcoin under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

However, France24’s True and False section says the claims are unfounded and the email was not released in the latest installment of the Epstein files.
The name Satoshi Nakamoto is used by the creator of Bitcoin, whose identity is a mystery.
The account stems from an email purportedly sent by Epstein to his right-hand man, Ghislaine MaxwellOctober 31, 2008.

After careful review, France24 discovered that the document was fake, finding formatting errors such as the two lines “To:”.
France24 also stated that there are 24 search results for the term “Satoshi Nakamoto” in the official files of the US Department of Justice. Epstein Filesnone of which match the email documents circulating online.
A search for the term “small digital gold mine” in the Justice Department’s Epstein dossier also yielded no results.
Also, the email ID in the email (jepstein@financial.net) is different from the email ID (jeevacation@gmail.com) often indicated by Epstein Files.
France24 fact-checking specifically flagged the doctored messages as disinformation, noting that Epstein was not actually the creator of Bitcoin, and certainly not Satoshi Nakamoto.
New Delhi: The Centre, the Nagaland government and the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) on Thursday signed a tripartite agreement in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, supporting the cause of eight recognized tribes in eastern Nagaland and paving the way for the establishment of the Frontier Territory Authority (FNTA) of Nagaland in six districts of Nagaland.As part of the arrangement, FNTA will delegate powers related to 46 topics to FNTA, including areas such as Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire, Longleng, Noklak and Shamator. A former employee of the conservative youth advocacy group Turning Point USA (TPUSA) has made allegations about workplace culture and the direction of the organization after she was recently fired.

She said she was exercising her free speech by posting the video and sharing her experience “as an American citizen.”
“I have a lot of concerns and a lot of questions about what happened that day and the events leading up to that day,” Lettsch said.
She criticized the organization, saying: “You can’t question the narrative and the work of Turning Point. That’s how I feel. That’s how other people I’ve spoken to feel. It goes against everything Charlie has ever stood for.”

Nancy Guthrie had dinner with Annie, who reportedly lived near her home in Tucson, Arizona. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos reportedly told the New York Times that Cione was walking Guthrie home after dinner. Authorities believe Guthrie was taken between Saturday night and Sunday morning. While social media is buzzing with interest in Sione, given that he was the last person to see her, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office made it clear that they have not announced any suspects or persons of interest at this time.
Authorities also explained that it is standard procedure to speak with people who may have been in contact with Guthrie before his abduction and therefore spoke with Sione. Tommaso Cioni: Power of Attorney Claims
A post on X claimed Cioni had a “Special Durable Power of Attorney.”
“Principal Tommaso Cioni, signing my name to the #PowerofAttorney this day, May 16, 2025, and first duly swearing an oath, declare to the undersigned authority that I sign and execute this instrument as my power of attorney, and that I voluntarily sign, or voluntarily instruct another to sign on my behalf, that I execute this document as a free and voluntary act of mine for the purposes stated in the power of attorney, and that I am over the age of 18 years or older, of sound mind, and not subject to any restrictions or undue influence,” the alleged document reads.
However, there is no connection between this alleged document and Nancy Guthrie. The documents resurfaced only after her kidnapping, and many online were quick to assert that such documents were common in real estate transactions.
“No big deal. It was just for the mortgage closing between him and Anne. They were used all the time when one party couldn’t attend the loan closing,” one person said.
Tommaso Scioni: the band and its members take center stage
While people online believe the so-called power of attorney document is common, there have also been accusations made against Sione’s band and bandmate Dominic Evans.
Sione is a member of a band called Early Black, which is into shoegaze music. However, the band’s profile attracted attention after Nancy Guthrie disappeared.

Band member Dominic Evans, who is also apparently a friend of Sione’s, also attracted attention. “I think everyone in the inner circle deserves to be looked at and fully vetted. Including this guy, Dominic Evans. He was a friend and bandmate of Tommaso Cioni. Arrested for burglary, robbery, embezzlement, DUI. NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that a married woman who had physical relations with another man cannot file a rape case against him on the ground that she had sex on the promise of marriage, raising concerns over misuse of the criminal justice system in filing rape cases when a consensual relationship sours.A bench of Justices BV Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan said that in such cases where a woman is not eligible to marry due to subsistence of the marriage, she cannot invoke false promise of marriage. The court passed the order while quashing a criminal complaint filed against a lawyer by a female lawyer alleging that he raped her on false promises of marriage. The court said the complainant was already married at the time of the relationship and it was a “classic case of a consensual relationship becoming intense”. “Thus, even for the sake of argument, if the contention that there was indeed a false promise of marriage by the accused leading to his indulging in sexual activity is accepted, such promise would not be legally enforceable and could not even be honoured, as the victim herself was not eligible for marriage either on the date of the first alleged offense or on any subsequent date when the parties indulged in sexual activity up to the date of registration of the FIR. The said embargo arises out of sub-section (i) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, Section 5 Article 1 expressly prohibits marriage between two persons if either party has a surviving spouse.”The judge said that given how the law is being misused today, the courts must be very careful in identifying genuine cases of rape and look for the essential elements that constitute the said offence.
