He wrote on Facebook: “Reports of a fire following an explosion in the Belden area of ​​Jackson Township, with large amounts of black smoke rising into the sky. Authorities are currently on scene. Police are blocking Whipple Avenue in the area.”
“Preliminary information indicates this occurred at Fosnaught’s Auto Parts, which is located in Whipple near the intersection of Dressler and Whipple. The property is a scrapyard that handles scrap metal,” he added.
