Nolan Wells’ family attacked with hate messages as they question teen’s death: ‘Whoever sent it…’
Nolan Wells’ family received a hateful message, according to his mother Christine Wansley. She shared the photo on Facebook along with a stern message for the sender.

The family and their attorney, Ben Crump, are also seeking an independent autopsy, and the attorneys said the results will be turned over to a grand jury so they can make a decision.
Meanwhile, race has become a talking point in the case, with celebrity pastor Al Sharpton attending a news conference with family members. “He was a black man with three young white guys and they happened to get his cell phone and they happened to get his keys,” the pastor said.

Sharpton also noted that Wansley had to find Wells’ cellphone and that his friends did not voluntarily disclose that they had the phone or his keys. “So some people say, ‘Pastors, are you going to bring in race?’ Well, we’re not going to bring in race, but we’re also not going to discount race because we don’t know what it is. It doesn’t smell right,” he added.
During this time, Wansley received a hateful message indicating that Sharpton and Crump were seeking to make money from the incident.
A photo sent showed Wansley with Sharpton on one side and Crump on the other. As Wells’ mother wept, the pastor and the attorney each shot two arrows in their eyes before drawing dollar signs in black ink on the paper.

Wansley shared the hateful messages she received and tagged Elmore Wansley in the post.
“Whoever sent this to my home, may the merciful Lord have mercy on your soul,” she wrote. Wells’ mother went on to attack the sender, “who was brave enough to send this nonsense but not brave enough to list your return address.”
She also lamented the state of the country, saying: “Grieving parents in America have to deal with this kind of behavior because we asked a simple question, what happened to our son, and accepted all the help we could get to find the answer. Please go touch some grass.”
