Savannah Guthrie’s mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, has been missing for more than a month. Catalina Foothills Home. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos recently provided an update on the ongoing investigation while addressing community concerns and clearing up misinformation surrounding the case.

Clarification of gloves found at scene
Sheriff Nanos explains the circumstances of the gloves found near Nancy’s home.
He also acknowledged that some gloves found near Nancy’s home after she went missing on February 1 may have had different DNA results.
“There were some claims and discussions that the police discarded them at the scene, which couldn’t be further from the truth. We knew at the time and we believed wholeheartedly that these gloves belonged to a restaurant, and guess what? We found out that the owner of the gloves worked at a restaurant across the street. It had nothing to do with the case,” Nanos said.
He also mentioned that the gloves sent to the Florida lab could be different and that DNA testing could take time.
“It’s a challenge because we know we have DNA, but now we have to deal with this mixture and how to separate it,” he added.
It’s unclear what type of gloves the restaurant worker would be wearing.
The Sheriff also addressed the suspect captured on Nancy’s doorbell video and the speculation surrounding his appearance.
