Host of NBC’s “Today” show Savannah Guthrie She was spotted in New York City over the weekend as authorities continue to search for her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, TMZ reports.
Photos posted by TMZ showed the reporter stepping out in casual clothes and sunglasses as the search for her 84-year-old mother entered its sixth week.
Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped in the early hours of February 1 from her home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona. Investigators said evidence at the residence suggested she did not leave voluntarily and foul play is suspected.

Public outcry and emotional toll on family following Nancy’s disappearance
Savannah Guthrie has made many strong pleas for her mother’s safe return. In a video shared earlier in the investigation, she pleaded with anyone responsible to come forward and said the family was willing to communicate with potential kidnappers.

According to TMZ , Savannah returned to the Today studio last Thursday for a brief but emotional visit, and even through the trauma, she was still smiling.

Investigation continues as search enters sixth week
