Nancy Guthrie: Activity outside Catalina’s home as PCSD sergeant talks backpack clue; “What happened?”

Private investigative reporter Jonathan Lee Riches reported on social media that people from different states were traveling to Catalina to search for Nancy Guthrie. Riches has been covering developments in the case for the past three weeks.

Riches reports that a group of people arrived at Nancy Guthrie’s address early Tuesday with metal detectors. They walked to Nancy Guthrie’s door and conducted an extensive search of the home.

Riches also shared a photo of a searcher who was allegedly from california and “signed a contract with ABC News.” Ht.com cannot independently verify this information. Photos shared by Riches taken from the street outside the home showed at least seven to 10 people, either searchers or reporters. There are also many vehicles parked.

Sheriff Chris Nanos talks investigation

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department spoke to NBC on Tuesday to discuss the mystery of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. PCSD has been working with the FBI’s Phoenix, Arizona field office on the case, and Fox News earlier reported that PCSD agents and officers have formed a task force. FBI.

“We now understand that it may not have been purchased from Walmart,” Nanos told NBC’s Liz Kreutz. “This new backpack is exclusive to Walmart, but who’s to say I didn’t purchase it and put it on eBay? … That’s what we’re looking at.”
