Mitch McConnell update: Charles Booker seeks answers to senator’s health questions: ‘This is elder abuse’

“Like every Kentuckian, I am worried about Sen. Mitch McConnell’s health. While I am certain he is receiving good care, I know from personal experience the fear and uncertainty our families and loved ones feel in the aftermath of a medical emergency,” Booker said.

He further said that while McConnell’s health is a private matter, Kentucky residents should know their senator’s ability to carry out his duties.
Booker questioned whether the description of the medical treatment the senator received the day he was hospitalized matched previous claims by McConnell’s communications team, which claimed the senator was receiving excellent care and immediately resumed Senate duties.
“The two narratives are difficult to reconcile. Kentuckians and Americans deserve to know which one reflects reality,” he said.
Booker takes aim at McConnell remaining in Senate
Booker also expressed his dissatisfaction with McConnell’s continued tenure in the Senate, claiming he believed the senator was unable to adequately represent Kentucky and urging him to resign.
