The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has temporarily restricted its consular, passport and visa services to emergencies only until Sunday, July 19, citing administrative reasons.Only applicants who can provide documentation proving the urgency of their requests will be served during this period, the embassy said in an official notification.Emergency services provided include Tatkal passport issuance, NRI certificates, short-term passports for applicants whose citizenship identity cards are about to expire, emergency certificates and e-visas.The embassy clarified that applications for ordinary passports, certificates and ordinary visas will not be accepted or processed until temporary restrictions are lifted.It also announced that all Indian Consular Application Centers (ICACs) in Kuwait will remain closed for accepting applications until further notice.Those in need of emergency assistance are asked to go to the embassy’s consular section between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, where officials will only process truly urgent requests supported by the necessary documentation.The embassy said further information would be released in due course and advised the Indian community in Kuwait to follow its official communication channels and social media platforms for the latest information.
