The person who sold the bottle spoke on condition of anonymity, but the bottle was a direct gift from Patel at an event in Las Vegas.According to the report, the FBI does not deny that Patel gave away whiskey bottles with his name on them, saying that this is an FBI tradition that started before Patel.Former agents told Sarah that the FBI historically had a zero-tolerance approach to the unauthorized use of alcohol on the job and its abuse while off-duty.
