U.S. senior adviser for global media Kari Lake raised serious concerns about security at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Cole Thomas Allen A shooting was carried out. Donald Trump and other administration officials evacuated the Washington Hilton Hotel during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner following the shooting.
Lake posted on X that when she entered the venue, no one bothered to check her ticket or even asked her to show her photo ID.
“I couldn’t believe how lax security was at tonight’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Upon entering, no one asked to visibly check my ticket or ask for photo ID. All everyone had to do was show what appeared to be a ticket and they didn’t mind. When you consider you are entering a room full of fake news media – 90% of whom hate the president, you would think they would have better security. That’s what happens when what sounds like gunfire erupts,” Lake wrote.
She added, “On the way out, I yelled at a disgusting group of media outlets who have been fomenting hatred against President Trump for years. They are a huge part of the discord in this country.”
Lake claimed in another post that security at the event was almost “non-existent.”
“It was a great night – although we noticed security was almost non-existent,” she wrote. “Secretary of State Marco Rubio walked the red carpet and addressed the media, as did most members of the Cabinet and administration.”
She added, “Everyone was eagerly awaiting President Trump’s incredible and hilarious speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner…and then all hell broke loose. I still want to hear the president speak, and I hope he speaks soon. We cannot allow an unhinged, media-brainwashed left-wing lunatic to stop us.”
Lake also retweeted a post from Sen. John Fetterman, who said “that venue was not built to host an event related to the order of succession in the United States government.”
