During an interview with Norah O’Donnell on “60 Minutes,” Trump became visibly angry after the reporter read out part of Allen’s alleged manifesto linking his motives to the row over the Epstein dossier.

“Not a rapist, not a pedophile”

“I am no longer willing to allow a pedophile, rapist and traitor to cover up his crimes at my hands,” O’Donnell read, drawing Trump’s ire.

“I’m waiting for you to read this, because I know you will, because you are terrible people. Horrible people. Yes, he did write it. I’m not a rapist. I didn’t rape anyone,” Trump said. A reporter asked the US president if he felt the gun was pointed at him.

Then Trump lost his cool.

“I’m sorry, I’m not a pedophile. You read some bullshit from some patient,” Trump said, adding that he was “absolutely not guilty” of having been linked to “something that had nothing to do with me.”

“Your friends on the other side of the plate are people who were involved with Epstein or other things. But I said to myself, ‘You know, I’m going to do this interview, and they probably will’ — and I read the manifesto. You know, he’s a sick person. But you should be ashamed of yourself for reading this, because I’m not one of those people,” Trump said while lashing out at Democrats.

Although O’Donnell clarified that she was simply quoting what Allen had written, Trump fired back, calling her a “disgrace.”

Trump on 60 Minutes

The 60-minute interview was President Donald Trump’s first since the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

In the interview, the Republican leader said he was “not concerned” about the possible harm and wanted to see what happened when the shots were fired.

“I wanted to see what was going on. I didn’t make it easy for them. I wanted to see what was going on. That’s when we started to realize that this might be a bad problem, a different type of problem, a bad problem – and different from the normal noise in a ballroom,” he told O’Donnell.
