Janice DeanFox & Friends meteorologists became emotional as they said goodbye to their colleagues and viewers on Friday.

In late June, Deen revealed that she was leaving Fox News due to her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis.

Twenty years ago, this reporter received a diagnosis of an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system and worsens the protective sheath surrounding nerves.

She made her final appearance on Friday, reflecting on her 22 years at the network.

“In 22 years on television, I’ve shared a lot, sometimes maybe too much,” she said.

Fox & Friends compiled a montage showcasing Deen’s tenure at the network, including clips of her reporting outside the station fox She unveiled the Fox Weather Vehicle at the New York City building and gave a demo in the studio with a host of co-hosts.

Although Dean works as a meteorologist at Fox, she has had several opportunities to go beyond weather reporting, covering events such as the Super Bowl, the Kentucky Derby and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Emotional Janice Dean reflects on challenging moments in career and life

Fox highlighted Deen’s passion for dance and her irrepressible enthusiasm while reporting from the White House and interacting with viewers.

“I wasn’t going to cry, but now I do, so thank you,” she said after the montage ended.

Dean covered part of his face with his hands, tears streaming down his face, wiping them away with a tissue.

When the show was broadcast, she was so excited that she burst into tears and thanked her husband, the behind-the-scenes team, and co-hosts for their support in her career.

“There’s a time of sadness when you leave a career, a job, because it’s been a part of my life. You guys are my second family. I want to say to the audience, I love every moment that you invite me into my living room every morning. It’s been the honor of my life and I’m truly blessed to do this job,” Dean said.

“But I also want to say, living with an illness, we don’t talk about this on TV, but getting up at 2:30 in the morning is a very tough thing. It’s tough on your body. I did it for a long time, and I probably shouldn’t have done it for so long, but I think I got it at a time when I could kind of repair myself.”

Janice Dean wants to spend time with family

Deen expressed on the show her desire to spend quality time with her family, including her 15- and 17-year-old sons, who were in the audience on Friday.

Three staff members showed up with gifts, presenting the star with a framed photo, a Fox and Friends coffee mug, flowers, cake and balloons.
