Emirates will start operating its flagship Airbus A380 on the Dubai-Delhi route from October 25, making Delhi the third Indian city to receive regular flights of the airline’s double-decker aircraft.The airline said the A380 will replace one of its daily Dubai-Delhi flights and will feature a four-class configuration, including premium economy. The remaining three daily flights on the route will continue to be operated using modified four-class Boeing 777 aircraft.With the launch of Delhi, Emirates’ A380 services in India will be expanded beyond Mumbai and Bengaluru, reflecting growing passenger demand on the route between India and Dubai.Announcing the expansion plans, Emirates Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim said the move demonstrates the airline’s continued commitment to the Indian market. He added that the airline is also increasing the availability of premium economy cabins across the country to provide passengers with more choice.Emirates will offer Premium Economy on its flights to six Indian cities from the end of October: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Kochi.According to the airline, premium economy will be available on nearly half of its weekly flights to India by the end of October. Emirates also said it plans to roll out additional service enhancements as part of its continued investment in the Indian market.
