More about Roosevelt’s AI avatar
Forbes reports On Wednesday, “Talk with TR” was created in partnership with Microsoft. According to Forbes, Microsoft used Roosevelt’s diaries, letters, speeches, telegrams and many other documents to train the model.
Michael Cullinane, senior historian at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation, told Forbes that AI models are “not perfect.” However, she said, “The avatar’s understanding of the major political moments of the Roosevelt era was accurate and explained to visitors well. The avatar even managed to capture elements of Roosevelt’s attitude.”
