According to People magazine, the president’s eldest son Donald Trump His fiancée, socialite Bettina Anderson, is said to be considering a wedding in the unfinished White House ballroom.
A source told People magazine that the ceremony could take place at White House is “a consideration,” in part because it might help the couple advance their future political ambitions.
“This will prepare them for future political roles, whether Don Jr. pursues the presidency or something else,” a source told the outlet, adding that “the ballroom may have to be completed.”

October 2025, trump card The historic east wing was ordered demolished to make way for a large ballroom. However, a federal judge recently halted construction late last month.
The judge found that the president did not have the authority to unilaterally modify the building without the consent of Congress.
“Congress has never approved anything, big or small, related to the construction of the White House under these circumstances,” Trump said on The Truth Society after hearing the news.
“In this case, it’s even worse because the ballroom was built with private donations, no federal taxpayer dollars!” he added.
The project remains in limbo now that the wings have been demolished, raising real concerns about completion of the gorgeous space before Trump leaves office in January 2029.
Trump Jr. and Anderson The groundwork is now being laid for their wedding festivities, which include a planned “Enchanted Garden”-themed bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago later this month.
Additionally, there is speculation that the wedding could take place sooner, as Page Six reports that it could take place as early as this spring. An earlier date could remove the White House as a possible venue, especially if construction on the ballroom, which is not expected to be completed until late 2028 or early 2029, continues to be on hold.
The administration’s fiscal year 2026 proposal allocates more than $377 million “for repairs and renovations to the Executive Mansion,” with an additional $174 million expected in 2027, according to budget documents cited by Politico.
That represents an 866% increase compared to the $39 million expected in fiscal 2025 to improve the portion of the White House where the president lives, the report said.
