IPL 2026: Why Rajasthan Royals will wear special pink jerseys against Gujarat Titans

Rajasthan Royals announces ‘Pink Promise’ match on May 9

rajasthan royals The Indian cricket team will take to the field in special all-pink jerseys for their crucial IPL 2026 match against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur on Saturday, but this occasion is about much more than cricket. The game marked the Royals’ third annual Pink Pledge Game, an initiative dedicated to supporting female-led transformation rajasthan Through the Rajasthan Royal Foundation. The campaign aims to connect on-the-ground action to real social impact on the ground. This year’s jersey has its own special story. The design was created by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada, whose entry was chosen as the winner from more than 8,500 entries for Royals’ HunaRR Manch competition. The all-pink jersey symbolizes empowerment, opportunity and community-driven change. The initiative also comes with a direct social commitment. During the competition, for every six hits, six households in the historic town of Sambhar in Rajasthan will be powered by solar energy. The event focuses on improving access to sustainable energy while highlighting women-led development projects in the region. This special moment happened during a high-pressure phase of the RR IPL tournament. After a dominant start to the season, Royals have struggled to maintain consistency and now face a dangerous Gujarat Titans side who have won three games in a row. With the playoff spots tight and another long break looming after this game, Saturday’s game holds great significance for both teams. RR are hoping that the energy of the Pink Promise Match can spark a turnaround at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium where they are still looking for their first home win in IPL 2026.
