Indian students ask 'How to find data engineering jobs in the US': Tech founder says $100K H-1B visa fee makes answers frustrating
American founder Zach Wilson comes under attack for siding with Indian students.

Former Meta technician and founder Zach Wilson says he’s proud to be an American after a federal court struck down a $100,000 fee imposed by the Donald Trump administration on the importation of H-1B visa holders. Wilson said he has been frustrated over the past six months when his Indian students ask, “How do I get a data engineering job in the United States?” “My response was basically, ‘You won’t because of Trump,'” he wrote in an X post.“These visa fees are another reason why I have to visit Bangalore and Hyderabad this year. Because if we can’t bring brains to the United States, those brains will continue to create amazing things in India. The brilliant entrepreneurs and engineers I’ve met in India are incredible. The world is balancing,” the former Netflix engineer said.“It’s amazing that America still has the checks and balances necessary to maintain its status as a place for immigrants and new ideas! Today is one of the days in a long time that I feel proud to be an American and that my administration is doing the right thing,” Wilson said.

Massive pro-Indian hoax

Zach Wilson’s post drew widespread criticism, with social media users asking him why he wasn’t considering training American students. “Ninety percent of my students are American, and I’m excited to talk to them about the incredible opportunities,” Wilson said.“How do I, an American, find my data engineering job? Fuck you, OPT doesn’t pay payroll taxes. They tolerate overwork and abuse. I hate you so much,” one wrote.“Welcome to the new world. These jobs will be moved to Bangalore anyway, so they won’t be taking jobs that would otherwise go to Americans,” Wilson replied. To counter the backlash, Wilson said he was hired by three different hiring managers when he worked at large tech companies and that he never experienced any discrimination under an Indian manager.
