New Delhi: The 2026 T20 World Cup has entered the semi-finals with India taking on England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while South Africa will take on New Zealand in Kolkata. The weather forecast is looking sunny so far, but fans are still worried as the two games before the tournament were canceled due to rain.To avoid confusion, the ICC has reserved days for the two semi-finals.

Can India beat England to reach T20 World Cup final? Greenstone Lobo makes bold predictions

If rain stops play on the original date, the game will be continued or replayed the next day. There is additional time, 90 minutes on Lord’s Day and 120 minutes on reserve days. In the final, there will be 120 minutes of overtime on both days. For the result to be declared, both teams must bat for at least 10 overs. If this does not happen, the match will restart from the same scoreline as on the reserve day. However, if the game is still unable to be completed after the preparation day, the team with a higher ranking in the Super 8 stage will qualify for the finals. This is where it gets tricky for India. India finished second in the Super 8 group while England topped the group by winning all three matches. Therefore, if India is completely eliminated from the semi-finals against England, England will advance to the final. In the other semi-final, South Africa defeated New Zealand in the group stage. Therefore, if this match is abandoned, South Africa will advance to the final. The final is scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad on March 8, with March 9 being a reserved day. Now, fans are hoping it won’t rain in these crucial games.
