New Delhi: Reject attempts by SpiceJet and its promoters Ajay Singh Citing the ongoing West Asian crisis, it sought a review of a previous court order depositing Rs 144 crore in a legal dispute with the media tycoon Kalanidhi Maran and Korean Air, delhi high court That request was denied on Monday.The Delhi High Court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the airline and Singh for not complying with the Supreme Court order to deposit the amount. Justice Subramium Prasad observed, “From the outset, this Court cannot ignore that the outbreak of hostilities in West Asia was an incident that took place in February 2026, while the Supreme Court directed that the arbitral award be enforceable as early as July 7, 2023… This Court is of the view that the review applicant is now trying to take advantage of events that occurred more than two years after the Supreme Court order was passed… It is impossible for the review applicant to continuously violate the orders of the Supreme Court.”SpiceJet and Singh said all flights have been suspended due to the conflict in West Asia and the airline is optimistic about receiving financial support from the Indian government given the unprecedented difficulties faced by the aviation industry.
