The driver, 31-year-old Charles Medina, passed two bicyclists traveling along FM 159, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. He passed them, stopped, reversed, and hit one of the cyclists, authorities said. He was arrested and charged with manslaughter and taken to the Brazos County Detention Center without incident.

“How did this happen?” one of them asked. While some said it was an accident, one told Medina: “It wasn’t an accident. This guy passed her on the highway, stopped, then backed up and ran her over.”
Someone else left a note in memory of the boxer. They wrote: “RIP. You had a lot ahead of you and were an inspirational person.” Another added “Beautiful soul.”

Meanwhile, another netizen penned a long message, writing, “Now I would rather see you when you come home…what happened to you and your family breaks my heart.
