The authorities are Florida A father has been confirmed to have killed his two young daughters and their mother before taking his own life inside a gated Doral community in what investigators describe as a disturbing incident murder-suicide case.
Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office detectives identified 42-year-old Ryan Charles Whiten as the suspect in the deaths of his estranged ex-partner Melanie Hyer and their daughters Savannah, 11, and Sienna, 8, the New York Post reported.
According to reports, deputies discovered the bodies Tuesday night after conducting a welfare check at Hale’s home in Doral, Florida. “The investigation revealed that Mr. Whiten committed these heinous acts and then took his own life,” officials said in a statement.
Investigators say all four victims suffered fatal stabbing. Authorities have not publicly revealed a motive and the case remains under investigation.
Court records obtained by NBC6 show Heyer finalized her divorce earlier this year, just months before the killings.
Hale and Whiten had reportedly separated several years ago and were co-parenting their daughter at the time of their deaths. Both of them remarried after their breakup.
White’s ex-wife, who spoke anonymously to Miami 7 News, said the relationship between White and Seal was “toxic” due to a long-running feud involving their children.
Despite the tense atmosphere, she said the tragedy was shocking.
“He was always so sweet to his daughters and loved them deeply. I didn’t know what was going on,” she told the outlet. White has reportedly previously expressed concern that Hale would one day take his daughters away from him.
Hale, 46, is a prominent probate real estate agent in South Florida who specializes in luxury oceanfront and commercial properties. Her LinkedIn profile shows she frequently appears on television news shows as a real estate expert.
Doral Mayor Christi Fraga paid tribute to Hale in an Instagram post, recalling her as a “ray of sunshine” who was deeply involved in her children’s school community.
“My heart was absolutely devastated when I learned the news,” Fraga wrote.
Savannah and Sienna attend Doral City Center Elementary School and are members of the Doral field hockey team. A Catholic Memorial Mass is expected to be held Friday evening to honor Hale and her daughters.
