Hernandez also shows temples with large statues of gods, grocery stores, streets with traditional South Asian names, and Indian residents wearing traditional clothing.Inside the temple, Hernandez demonstrated practices typical of Hindu worship, such as removing shoes and praying to multiple gods. She described the temple as “very large” and “intricate.”The video was criticized by some users who said Hernandez was covering religious spaces and that MAGA supporters were using her video to express anti-India and anti-immigration views. City Council meetings were filled with claims of an “Indian takeover” and concerns about “replacing” visa rules for American workers.
