Fire breaks out after semi-truck crash on Interstate 71 in Cincinnati Ohio Sunday night.

WCPO reports that fire It started after a semi truck crashed under an I-71 overpass near Heritage Bank Center. The incident occurred at around 6:50 pm local time.

cincinnati Fire departments have closed multiple lanes and roads while responding to the fire. Black smoke from the fire could be seen in the sky above Cincinnati.

Road closures include I-71 at the Brent Spence Bridge, southbound I-71 at Fort Washington Way and eastbound Columbia Parkway. The specific location where police were dispatched was near Fort Washington Road and East Second Street.

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) said they are diverting traffic on Interstate 75 North due to lane closures.

As of now, the driver’s condition is unknown, but minor injuries have been reported. Authorities are checking whether the underground passage was damaged by the fire.

As of now, the cause of the crash that caused the fire has not been announced.
