Tamil Nadu: TVK breaks majority as VCK, IUML extend support
The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) breached majority in the Tamil Nadu Assembly after VCK and IUML backed the Vijay-led party to form the government. VCK chairman Thol Thirumavalavan formally submitted a letter of support, taking TVK’s support to 119, after which IUML’s support pushed it to 120 MLAs.
