Heather Williams, chairwoman of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, told The Associated Press that the victory was the 29th national seat to flip since the 2024 U.S. election.
“If Mar-a-Lago is vulnerable, imagine what will happen this November,” she said. “Gas prices are soaring, grocery costs are rising, families are struggling — it’s clear voters at the polls are fed up with Republicans.”
