Elena Moore update: Friend reports husband’s treatment; says missing woman ‘feared for her life’
Authorities are awaiting confirmation whether body found in the process of searching Elena Katherine Moore 39-year-old personal trainer from Lexington, South Carolina. Among them, friend Sondra Rachelle Campbell shared insights into Moore’s mind in an interview and made accusations against her husband, Brannon Slice.
Sandra, who was reportedly one of Elena’s closest friends, spoke with NewsNation reporter Brian Entin about Elena’s disappearance.
Police are awaiting word from the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and it could be several days before they get an update on the case. While there are theories that Elena may have committed suicide due to mental health issues, Sandra doesn’t think so.

Elena disappeared on Thursday, June 11, 2026. She was last seen leaving a local Planet Fitness gym and walking towards a wooded area. Sandra expresses her belief that there is more to Elena’s death than meets the eye.

Speaking of Elena, Sandra explain “I do believe foul play was committed. I think my friend was struggling for her life. I think she was really in fear for her life.”
She also spoke about Elena’s mental health. “She loved her life. She was looking forward to better days. When she was having a bad day, she still had clients. She still showed up for them. According to NewsNation, Elena was treated in a mental hospital before her disappearance. Meanwhile, TMZ reports that she acted out of character in the weeks leading up to her disappearance.

Elena’s friends claim she is having marital problems with husband Brannon Slice. “There were some issues and they were trying to separate. That was a red flag to me,” she said.

However, Elena’s friend told Entin that she heard about how Brannon treated Elena and spoke to her on the phone. Sandra also claimed that she and Elena were unable to attend a concert one time because of Brannon.
Despite the friends’ accusations, experts seemed to agree with the police assessment of the husband. Former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer said: “When she walked into those woods, there was no signal on her phone and there were cameras on full blast. No one was following her. So for those reasons and the fact that they said they didn’t see anything, I think it’s a pretty big leap to say that he [Slice] That’s when he walked in there and committed the murder. “
Meanwhile, private investigator Henry Dukes said, “The husband wants to do whatever it takes to find his wife and No. 2 and do whatever he can to help her.” The private investigator noted that after speaking with Brannon, he didn’t see any red flags that Elena was missing.
