A massive police response is underway at Edina’s Southdale Center Mall, minnesota There were reports of a shooting Wednesday afternoon. Edina police have not confirmed if shots were fired and described it as an “active incident.”
Social media reports suggested the incident may have been sparked by a shooting near the mall, but details remained unclear.
edina police department Posted an update “There was a heavy police presence in the 3300 block of W. 66th Street in Edina at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22nd. Please avoid the area until further notice. More updates coming soon,” the post read.
Local ABC affiliate KSTP 5 reported that police K-9 units were searching around multiple buildings in the area.
