Mark Herman of the Harris County Constable 4th District shared an update, saying, “At this time, one victim is reported to have been shot and one person is in custody. The investigation continues and law enforcement remains on scene. Please avoid the area to allow first responders to safely conduct their investigation and emergency operations.”
Herman also posted, “Precinct 4 scene: Heavy police presence at Deerbrook Mall. Officers are assisting the Humble Police Department following reports of a shooting at Deerbrook Mall, located in the 20100 block of U.S. Highway 59.”
Authorities have not released information about possible injuries or whether the suspect is in custody. Officials said more information will be released as it becomes available.
