Residents of Qatar marked a new date on their calendars. The world-famous Cirque du Soleil will bring its spectacular show Corteo to Doha for a limited six-day run from April 8 to April 13, 2026, with eight live performances planned at the Qatar National Convention Centre.This marks one of the largest live entertainment events of the spring in Qatar, giving families, residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the world-renowned circus show without leaving the country.
The Doha show will feature eight performances over six days. Evening performances are scheduled most days, with additional matinees on weekends to cater for higher demand.The official schedule is as follows, with evening performances taking place on April 8th and 9th. There are two performances each on April 10th and 11th: an afternoon performance and an evening performance. The event will conclude with evening performances on April 12th and 13th.Each performance lasts approximately two hours, including a short intermission. Doors open approximately one hour before the show to give attendees time to enter, find their seats and enjoy the pre-show atmosphere.
“Corteo,” which means “cortege” in Italian, tells the story of a clown who imagines his funeral as a joyous, carnival-like celebration guarded by angels. The work travels between heaven and earth, blending comedy, emotion and fantasy.The show brings together world-class acrobats, aerialists, contortionists and musicians to blend athletic precision with dramatic storytelling. Unlike a traditional circus, there are no animal performances. Instead, the production relies on choreography, lighting, elaborate costumes and a live score to create an immersive visual experience.Corteo is one of Cirque du Soleil’s oldest stage shows and has toured internationally in North America, Europe and Asia before arriving in Doha.
Tickets are now officially on sale, starting at QR175, allowing viewers to attend the show in multiple seating categories. Prices vary based on seat location and show date.Tickets can be purchased online by visiting Platinumlist, Qatar’s official events calendar and authorized ticketing platform. Early reservations are recommended, especially for weekend shows, which are expected to sell out first.All guests two years and older are required to purchase a ticket and assign a seat. Families traveling with children are encouraged to select their seats together when booking.
