A former detective has revealed why he believes Nancy Guthrie didn’t survive her murder. Some experts say they believe the theory – that Nancy has died.
Former detective Jon Buehler told NewsNation’s Brian Entin that various factors in the early stages of the investigation led him to believe Nancy may have died.
“The reason I’m concerned about her surviving the kidnapping is twofold,” Buehler said.
He noted a lack of communication from any potential kidnappers.
“Number one, not asking for a reward right away is an indication that she’s fine and that they’re going to release her,” Buehler said. “It’s a gross exaggeration to think she survived.”
Buller also pointed to reports of blood being found at the scene.
“But the quantity blood of existence That wound on the front of the house suggested to me that it was bleeding a lot, maybe not an artery, but it was bleeding a lot,” he said.
Video released days after Nancy disappeared shows what appears to be There was blood outside her house. A video posted by NewsNation on Tuesday, February 3, showed visible blood stains outside Nancy’s home in Arizona. Black blood stains could be seen on the brown tiles leading to the door.
The Los Angeles Times also reported that authorities found blood in Nancy’s home.

A retired FBI agent previously claimed that drops of blood found on Nancy’s porch and driveway suggested she may not have left the home on foot.
“He was also trying to get her to comply because of her poor health and her age and her pacemaker, which is why I don’t think she survived,” Buller said.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos The recent revelations about the case explain why no arrests have been made months after Savannah Guthrie’s mother went missing. In an interview with KOLD-TV, Nanos defended what he called a “tedious” process.
“It’s not like a detective goes out and talks to someone and we can arrest him,” Nanos said. “This is a very sensitive case, but what really causes the case to drag on is that we do rely on the labs.” “When you look at these labs and the work they do, you see there’s a science there, and science has rules that it has to follow. Even if it’s not… DNA, they’ll tell you, is not an exact science — it’s over 99 percent accurate. So it’s pretty close, but you still have to follow the rules.”
Nanos previously acknowledged in an interview with People that the Guthrie couple must be “frustrated” by the lack of answers. However, he seems convinced that answers will come.
“My team, I’ve always said, they’re going to fix this,” he said. “I believe that absolutely 100 percent. … When you have the best minds in the country working on problems, I think they’re going to solve them. It’s just going to take a while.”
