• On the evening of April 23, David Burke, or D4vd, sent an Uber to take Rivas from her home to his residence in the Hollywood Hills. He then reportedly stabbed her to death and stood by while she bled out.
• D4vd allegedly ordered a shovel from Home Depot the next day and had it delivered to his home via Postmates.
• A week later, he received two chainsaws from Amazon, also delivered to his home.
• The publication noted that on May 5, he allegedly ordered a body bag, heavy-duty laundry bags, and an inflatable swimming pool. All of these purchases were reportedly made under Victoria Mendez’s assumed name.
• D4vd then allegedly placed Rivas’ body in a blue inflatable pool to prevent her blood from staining the floor of his garage. He then used a chainsaw and other tools to cut off her limbs, the report states.
• He also amputated her left ring finger and little finger because the former had a tattoo of his name. The fingers have yet to be found, the report added.

D4vd and Rivas reportedly had a lengthy argument the night before the alleged murder, the report states. The report further states that this was due to Rivas being jealous of D4vd’s relationships with other women. “She became extremely depressed and threatened to reveal horrific information about her relationship with the defendant in order to end his career and ruin his life,” investigators noted.
