The incident came amid a larger wave of protests that paralyzed much of Malda, with demonstrators blocking national and state highways and major rural roads in at least five assembly areas.The situation comes after supporters protested indefinitely. Trinamool Congress Near the Chief Electoral Officer’s office in Kolkata, they alleged serious irregularities in the submission of Form 6 applications and called for strict action against those responsible.Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar expressed displeasure over the riots and blamed Mamata, saying her comments had exacerbated tensions and unrest in the area. “What happened scared everyone.
