Allegan, Michigan tornado? Warnings sound as horrific visuals appear; power outage leaves many affected

Several others also shared the visual. “North/East skyline taken from Bangor at 11:40pm,” one person wrote.

Another added, “Around 109 east of Pullman, 11:30.”

Someone shared a video clip of Paw Paw, village in Michigan. The video appears to have been taken from inside the house and shows heavy rainfall and strong winds.

Meanwhile, widespread power outages due to the weather are affecting many people. “Allegan/Barry County is experiencing sudden, massive power outages along the path of our Tornado Warning Center,” a WWMT reporter wrote, sharing a map of the affected area.

Allegan Tornado Warning: Reactions and Fear

“Tornadoes are possible throughout the area tonight. Specifically near Carson City in Montcalm County. Also near Otsego and Plainwell in Allegan County. Possible tornado damage has been reported in these areas,” they added. “Destructive wind gusts are also causing other scattered power outages. The severe risk north of I-96 is over!”

Another person on X shared an update on the outage wrote “One area is from southeastern Allegan County to southwestern Barry County…another area is around the Carson City area and a third area is northeast of Lansing. The size of these areas suggests this may be thunderstorm winds rather than tornadoes, but it certainly looks like there are some damaging winds in these areas. 41,027 customers are now without power.”

On Facebook, a local page commented: “Please stay safe, be careful and look out for each other. Hope everyone gets through this without any damage or injury.” It shared a map of areas that may have been hit.

Tornado warnings also caused many to seek safety for themselves and others. “Everyone please be safe [prayers] Stay safe,” one wrote, adding a praying emoji. Another added, “Praying this goes away. it’s over! ! “Someone else said, “Everyone, please be safe. “
