Police on Sunday identified a suspect in Saturday’s boat crash in Illinois’ Fox River, citing jail records. local news outlet Shaw Local. According to reports, the suspect is 41-year-old Richard M. Stevenson, who has been jailed in McHenry County, Illinois.

Stevenson was charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI resulting in death. Reports indicate that he was detained at the McHenry County Jail after being arrested by Illinois State Conservation Police at 4:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. Two people were injured and one died in the accident.

But beyond the arrest and conviction, the Shaw Local report went a step further and identified Richard Stevenson as the vice president of sales for Stevenson Crane Services. this illinoisThe US-based crane rental services company operates throughout the United States.

Who is Richard “Rick” Stevenson?

Shaw Local cites Richard ‘Rick’ Stevenson as Stevenson Crane vice president His LinkedIn account. However, as of this writing, the account has been made private. He was reportedly from the village of Lisle, DuPage County, Illinois.

The report also noted that Steven Crane’s website also lists Richard Stevenson as one of its vice presidents. However, as of this writing, the page has been removed from the company’s website. Facebook users were also quick to suggest that Richard Stevenson may have ties to Stevenson Crane’s family Founderfamily of Donna Stevenson. But so far, links to the family have remained unconfirmed.

Stevenson Crane has yet to react to the arrest, although social media is abuzz considering the suspect’s role in the business (and possibly even with the owner’s family).

The Fox River Shipwreck and Richard Stevenson’s Role in it

The boat crash on the Fox River in surrounding McHenry County involved a head-to-head confrontation. Richard Stevenson was on one of the ships and was said to have been at the wheel when the accident occurred. The incident occurred on Saturday around 3:00 p.m., and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded and closed a portion of the river to investigate.

One person died and another was seriously injured on one of the boats, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. One person on the other boat suffered non-life-threatening injuries and another person fled the scene of the incident. It is unclear whether the man who escaped was Richard Stevenson.

Share rescue photos The chief of the McHenry Township Fire District praised the efforts of the first responders following Saturday’s incident in the Fox River.

“These photos show members of the McHenry Township Fire Protection District conducting underwater search operations using our sidescan sonar,” the caption read. “These are highly specialized skills that require extensive training, countless hours of practice and ongoing investment in equipment.”
