The police found the Frenchmen cutting down the site on foot. Responding officers warned David Leroy French multiple times to stop, but he failed to do so, documents state. An officer eventually had to fire his weapon, injuring the 21-year-old man.
Additionally, police told the court today French was identified through CCTV footage from the area during the investigation. Video captured him firing shots in the area early Sunday night.
